Sunshine Blogger Tag x2

About a month ago, Nicole Dust at Legend of a Writer tagged me for the Sunshine Blogger Tag, and just this past week, Ann at Ann's Space tagged me, too. I'll be answering both sets of questions--so brace yourselves for a massive me-based info dump. :P

Here are the rules:

-Thank and link the blogger who tagged you
-Answer the 11 questions asked
-Nominate 11 other bloggers
-Ask 11 new questions

I'll be doing Nicole's questions first:

What is your favorite quote, and why?

Gah--this is a hard one! But if I had to pick one quote, it would be "She believed she could so she did." My first writing mentor gave me a bracelet with the quote engraved on it, because she said it reminded her of me, so whenever I'm in need of a little motivation/inspiration boost--it's the first quote that comes to mind.

What's your dream career?

My dream career would be to become a children's author. (In case you didn't see my header, "Scribbles of an Aspiring Author.")

How do you want to change the world?

I can say with absolute certainty that one of the things that has made the biggest impact on how I live my life, is the literature that I've read. I would love to look back at my life someday, and (after I've hopefully been published) know that I made a difference in a child's life with my book. Being able to reduce my carbon footprint on the Earth is also something I'm striving for.

What song do you really relate to, and why?

Most of the songs that I like to listen to are fast-paced, and usually from some movie soundtrack that narrates a ton of super cool action-y scenes. I however, can barely survive PE class, so, it's safe to say I don't relate to many of my playlists. :P

That being said, if I had to pick one song I can relate to, it would be "Best Day of My Life," by American Authors.

What is one of your biggest pet peeves?

This might be kind of a weird one--but I absolutely cannot stand when someone doesn't close doors the whole way.

How do you want your life to change, or are you fine with where you are right now?

I'm pretty content with where I am now--but I'd obviously like to be published at some point in the future.

Being able to understand Biology would also be pretty nice, too. :P

What was the moment that made you decide to write?

Honestly? I'm not really sure. I've found stories scribbled in journals of mine dating back to when I was seven or eight years old. However, the first time I ever wrote a book with the intend of publishing it one day, was in the fifth grade. Needless to say--it was pretty bad, and it will never be seeing the light of day.

What is the biggest dream you have in life?

Definitely to be a published author.

How do you react to stressful situations?

Usually with a lot of panicking--and chocolate. Lots of chocolate.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?

Being able to shape-shift--that way, I could finally know what it would be like to be a dragon.

Do you have any big goals for 2018/2019, and what are they?

This year, I'm looking to finish the third draft of my WIP. I was trying to write it for NaNo this year--but life got in the way (in a good way!) and I'm falling *way* behind on my word-count. I'm still going to try and write as much as I can this November--but I've pretty much given up on finishing it this month. :P

And now onto Ann's questions:

Are you a vegetarian?

No--I like sushi too much to commit to that. :P

Do you keep a diary?

I do, actually. I've been keeping one for about a year now, and it's fun to look back at the things that seemed big and scary to me a year ago, that I have since survived (obviously).

Kebab or burger

Probably a kebab. Don't get me wrong--I love burgers--but kebabs are just more fun to make, in my opinion.

Are you a Night Owl or an Early Bird?

I generally fall into the Night Owl category, as I have a tendency to stay up late on weekends and binge Netflix--or a book. However, I've been trying to get up earlier lately, because I've found that writing comes easiest to me first thing in the morning.

Where did you meet your best friend?

In my second grade teacher's classroom, after she moved our seats next to each other. Poor her--she had to deal with our shenanigans all marking period. ;)

Describe your best friend in three words.

1. Loyal
2. Brave
3. Funny

What was the last movie you watched?

A friend and I just re-watched Sixteen Candles on Friday night.

How many times have you been abroad, and what countries have you visited?

I've been abroad six times now. I've visited Denmark, Italy, Dubai, Uganda, and I've been to Costa Rico twice. (Although one of those times, I was too young to remember, so I don't really count it.)

What do you think about learning dead languages?

I think that it's really cool of you're able to learn a dead language--but I don't see myself ever learning one.

Facebook, Messenger, or Instagram?

Instagram, as it's the only social media that I have out of the above three listed. :P

Do you have a favorite actor or actress?

Yes--my favorite actress is Emma Watson, and my favorite actor is a tie between Chris Colfer and Benedict Cumberbatch.

And now for *my* questions:

-What is your favorite memory, and why?
-What book changed your life the most?
-Who inspires you?
-What would you say your spirit animal is, and why?
-Do you have a nervous habit--and if so, what is it?
-What book character do you relate to most?
-If you could meet one person--alive, or dead--who would it be?
-When it comes to writing, are you a plotter or a pantser?
-What is your favorite color?
-Do you have any strategies to help you overcome Writer's Block?
-Are you an extrovert, or an introvert?

And as for tagging, um . . . most of the bloggers who I keep up with have already done this tag--so I guess that if you want to do this tag--go ahead--steal it! Consider yourself tagged.

So--have you done this tag already? If so, was there a favorite question that you answered?

  1. Who-hoo, you did the tag!!

ACK, yes, shape-shifting would be awesome! I would almost prefer healing (because then I don’t have to wear glasses or have teeth problems or anything like that), but there’s a great cheat answer to this that I always tell people: the ability to grant wishes for myself and others. That way, instant powers AND solve world issues! XD (I’ve over-thought this a lot....)

And I love your quote! <3

    1. Ooh--healing would be super cool too! (I have glasses and teeth problems too.) That one totally slipped my mind.

      Aw, thanks!
